Assessor and IQA
Our client, a successful and expanding further education college, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner in Assessing and Internal Quality Assurance with a level 3 Educator Qualification or equivalent, to join their team. As the successful candidate you will be part of a team of two covering the Swindon and Wiltshire areas in overseeing, assessing and motivating learners, ensuring delivery meets awarding body standards at all times. A strong communicator with a flexible approach, you will have a broad knowledge of Apprenticeships and NVQ's, frameworks and delivery methods, and their benefits to both employers and potential candidates.
This is a permanent position with the college, either full time - 37 hours a week - or 4 full days.

Level 2 qualification in Maths & English (literacy & numeracy)
Minimum of Level 3 Early Years Educator Qualification or equivalent
Level 2 qualification in ICT or willing to complete it within 18 months of employment commencing.
Assessor and Verifier Qualification
Level 3 Teaching/Training qualification
Knowledge / Previous Experience / Skills
Knowledge of Apprenticeships and NVQs, the benefits to employers and candidates, frameworks and delivery methods.
Experience of promoting Apprenticeships and NVQs in a variety of forums including schools/careers, open events and parents evenings, meetings with employers etc
Thorough and methodical approach to administrative tasks and multi-tasking
Ability to manage, monitor and maintain a case load of learners to meet timescale expectations on qualification completion.
Ability to inform, guide and advise learners and employers about a range of development options
Current practitioner experience in Assessing and Internal Quality Assurance.
Able understand the requirements of the new Apprenticeship standards and be able to fully prepare apprentices for end point assessment
Flexible approach to working hours around business requirements plus a willingness to travel
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels using appropriate media
