Salary £ 25000

Working hours: 9.15am-5.15pm

This role will assist in the planning, execution and optimisation of digital marketing activity to increase brand awareness and convert interest in our marketing activity goals.

It includes scheduling, monitoring and executing communications and paid-for promotion on our social media platforms, tracking and reporting results, and analysing for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement digital marketing activity to support the overall digital strategy of the business. This will include:

  • Developing and executing digital marketing activity, predominantly across social platforms, but also including email
  • Devising and delivering engaging social media content to support brand and target audience engagement and awareness
  • Working with internal teams to ensure good basic knowledge of social media, and ensuring content and marketing materials are aligned to business objectives
  • Uploading and scheduling content to social platforms using relevant tools
  • Using data profiling to create customer segments
  • Managing PPC activity and spend to increase company and brand awareness, lead generation, and reach of content
  • Being actively involved in SEO efforts (keyword, image optimization etc.) across our website estate
  • Preparing online newsletters and promotional emails and organising their distribution through various channels and our digital broadcast systems
  • Reporting on performance of digital marketing (predominantly social activity and email) efforts using a variety of analytical tools (e.g. Google Analytics
  • Acquiring insight in online marketing trends and keeping strategies up-to-date
  • Working with PR to manage and be the first line of defence of the Institute's online reputation, responding appropriately to negative comment, and escalating when appropriate
  • Defining clear objectives for all social media activity to enable post activity ROI analysis
  • Ensuring the principles and behaviours of our brand, including tone-of-voice, are maintained through all social media channels
  • Flexibility is required of all job holders to adjust responsibilities as required from time to time by their Line Manager/Divisional Director
  • Continually looking at ways to make improvements to systems, processes and procedures

Who we are looking for:

  • Educated to A-level preferred
  • Proven experience in marketing or social media role
  • Proven experience of managing social media platforms
  • Experience of working with other teams/stakeholders to deliver successful business outcomes
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Quick thinking with ability to identify opportunities
  • Effective and confident communicator
  • Passion and enthusiasm for digital marketing, technology, societal issues and helping us achieve our mission to Make IT Good for Society
  • Up to date knowledge of digital marketing methods and technologies
  • Understanding of database marketing, PPC and display advertising, email and social techniques
  • Broad knowledge of the IT industry and current issues within the industry, and ability to interpret how our activities can play a role in helping Make IT Good for Society
