HR Administrator

Contract: Fixed Term or Secondment until September 2018

Reporting into the HR Advisor, the HR Administrator is tasked with a variety of responsibilities within the HR field. Daily administrative tasks include, but aren't limited to: recruitment assistance, employee reference acquisition, training operations, document maintenance and referencing. You will act as a 1st point of contact for HR queries, which you must be efficient at prioritising tasks and managing deadlines.

Database maintenance and record entry/amendments are a significant aspect to the role. In response to the administrative demands of the role, the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-years previous proven admin experience in a HR or related office environment. We need an individual who has the confidence to assume senior responsibilities from the get-go and can establish themselves as a reliable contact for clients, employees and candidates alike at all levels in the business.


Essential -

  • Demonstrable experience of providing administrative support in a high-volume working environment
  • Experience as acting as a first point of contact for a busy team, demonstrating a confident approach to managing queries and redirecting stakeholders
  • Strong experience of handling high volumes of email and telephone communication effectively
  • Experience of working with multiple stakeholders, providing proactive customer/stakeholder support, managing multiple deadlines concurrently
  • A clear track-record of developing and managing highly effective working relationships
  • Experience of diary coordination, booking meetings, developing timelines etc. preferably via MS Outlook
  • Experience of working in a fast paced and process-oriented environment with changing deadlines
  • Data entry and reconciliation to a high-standard, to include responsibility for maintaining records for audit purposes
  • Clear experience of consistent document production, in a timely fashion, to a high-standard
  • Experience of working in a confidential environment
  • Proven hands-on ability to work within a change and process-led environment

  • Experience of working in a HR environment

  • Clear self-organisation skills (self-starter) and a demonstrable ability to manage and prioritise workload in order to meet tight deadlines
  • Active listening skills, with a keen ability to assimilate and understand new information
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to remain motivated when faced with repetitive tasks
  • Gravitas, positivity and the clear confidence to engage effectively and build relationships quickly with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including tact, discretion, confidentiality and experience of liaising with stakeholders and staff effectively at all levels
  • Strong communication (both written and oral) skills, and the ability to produce clear, concise and accurate documents
  • High competency of ICT skills/ IT systems and applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access, with exceptional MS Outlook skills
  • The ability to respond calmly under pressure and to make impartial and well-considered judgments as and when required
  • Adaptability and a flexible approach, able to deal with changing demands in a shifting environment - able to develop based on the changing requirements of the role
  • A team player, with a clear desire to take on new work and challenges without prompting
