Working Hours: 08:30-16:45 Monday-Friday

Company Benefits:

6 month probation period

20 days holiday in the first full year, then 25 days thereafter (holiday to be allocated to shut down for one week in August and over Christmas/New Year period)

Job Description

The Production Manager will be responsible for the planning, co-ordination and control of manufacturing processes. They will ensure that Finished Goods, in-house intermediates and services are produced efficiently, in time and are of the highest quality.

The Production Manager will be involved in the pre-production (planning) stage as well as taking charge of the production (control and supervision) stage. They will be expected to interact well with staff, particularly those who work in their team, as well as members from other Departments.

Key Responsibilities -

  • Overseeing the production process, drawing up a production plan
  • Demonstrate an excellent understanding and implementation of Departmental operations
  • Ensuring that the production Department is cost effective
  • Making sure the Finished Goods are produced on time and are of good quality
  • Working out the human and material resources needed
  • Monitoring the production processes and adjusting the production plan as needed
  • Being responsible for the selection of manufacturing equipment
  • Monitoring product standards and quality
  • Liaising among different departments
  • Working with other Managers to implement the Company's policies and goals
  • Ensuring that health and safety guidelines and best practices are followed
  • Supervising and motivating their team of members
  • Reviewing worker performance
  • Identifying training needs
  • Ensuring that environmental guidelines are followed
  • Reporting current performance and planned improvement strategies at monthly meetings
