Purchasing/Logistics Co-ordinator

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performing administrative activities in support of the purchasing, warehouse and logistics function and related work as required within the company including:

  • Working with the current team to monitor and control the overall stock within the organisation
  • To procure all materials to support the business in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Work closely with customer service to ensure on-time delivery to customers
  • Negotiation to ensure best value for the purchase of supplies, equipment and services
  • Review the incoming freight and look to reduce the over cost to the company
  • Create a profit center rather than a cost center for outgoing freight to customers
  • Control the stock and deliveries for key European Customers including the move of the consignment stock warehouse to other countries

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • A formal Procurement Qualification would be an advantage
  • IT literate, specifically knowledge of MS-Office, Excel Working in a small team with various daily tasks not always purchasing led
